The OM-D E-M1 Mark III system, including interchangeable lenses, maintains superb mobility with a compact and lightweight design while offering high image quality and the high performance expected of a professional camera.

Olympus's most advanced image stabilization technology is built into the OM-D E-M1 Mark III body that minimizes blur caused by camera shake. The stabilizer can result in sharp images in low light, under windy conditions or when using a physically large lens up to 7 1/2 stops slower compared to a standard camera. This means that you can carefully handhold the camera with a 1/2 second exposure or more and still get an astoundingly sharp, crisp image.

It has a rugged magnesium alloy body which is dustproof, splashproof, freeze-proof.

The OM-D E-M1 Mark III has a 121-point all-cross type autofocus system - especially useful when it comes to tracking information that’s reliable. Which is why On-Chip Phase Detection AF uses an amazing 121 points in an all-cross-type layout. (The cross-type sensors detects both vertical and horizontal lines)

The Advanced Face Priority / Eye Priority AF is particularly effective for pin-sharp accurate focus for portraiture.

Many of the groundbreaking features that are so popular on the professional Olympus OM-D E-M1X are built into the OM-D E-M1 Mark III including:

50MP Handheld High High-Resolution Shot capabilities allow the camera to achieve handheld high-resolution shots. When activated, precise minor sensor shifts are used to capture 16 images which are then merged to create a high-resolution photo equivalent to 50MP. Perfect for capturing shots in locations where a tripod cannot be used or when moving around a lot during shooting.
Live Neutral Density - virtually extends the exposure time and allows the capture of images with slow shutter speed effect by merging multiple exposures together. Five levels of the LIVE ND effect can be selected from ND2 (1 step) and ND32 (5 steps) and the effect of the slow shutter speed can be seen LIVE in the viewfinder or LCD screen before capturing. This feature not only removes the trouble of changing filters according to the shooting scene or lens but is also useful for lenses that are difficult to attach filters to.
Pro Capture mode makes it easier to capture moments that last for just a split second so it's useful for sport or action. In Pro Capture mode, the camera uses its electronic shutter to enable shooting at up to 60fps (frames per second).
