About the Nikon 1 AW1 Digital Camera + 11-27.5mm Lens White

The Nikon 1 AW1 is the world’s first waterproof and shockproof digital camera featuring interchangeable lenses. Based on the successful Nikon 1, the AW1 is compact and a perfect companion for your travels. Nikon’s CX-format image sensoroffers 73-point phase-detection AF plus a 135-point contrast-detect AF. Exclusively optimized for the Nikon 1 range, the newly developed EXPEED 3A image-processing engine delivers faster image processing and improved image quality. A 3-inch (7.5cm) LCD monitor with a 921K-dot resolution delivers crystal clear viewing from all angles. Similar to the Nikon 1, the AW1 is also compatible with 1 Nikkor Lenses as well as Nikkor Lenses when the FT1 Mount Adapter (sold separately) is utilized. Waterproof up to 15m and shockproof from a fall of up to 2m, the AW1 redefines underwater and adventure photography.

Supporting the world’s fastest1 high-speed continuous shooting rate of approx. 15fps with AF tracking and 60fps with focus locked, the odds are in your favour when attempting to capture that fleeting high-speed moment. A broad ISO 160-6400 range delivers versatility and superior performance under a wide array of scenarios.

A variety of convenient features and functions such as Underwater Creative ModesAuto Distortion ControlOutdoor DisplayAction Control and even a built-in flash that may be used underwater will ensure your experiences are captured effortlessly. To ensure the best shot every time, a Slow View can be utilized to buffer 20 frames when focus is acquired, allowing you to select the perfect frame after the moment as passed. Alternatively, the Smart Photo Selector option captures 20 frames and automatically identifies any unsuitable images with blur or subject movement . A built-in GPS allows location information to be stored in the photograph’s EXIF data.

Available in blacksilver and white to suit your personal taste, the rugged yet stylish Nikon 1 AW1 Compact Digital Camera is built from stainless-steel to withstand the elements and will satisfy your holiday or outdoor adventure photography.
