In 2006, ARCA succeeded in improving the monoball even further by introducing the Z series to replace the now legendary B series. The new model is not only lighter (currently weighing 650g), but also more stable. On average, it cancarry up to 60 kg and, thanks to the use of more advanced manufacturing technologies, it is now possible to offer the new Z series at an even more reasonable price. 

sp (=single panorama) means that there is a pan swivel unit at the base of the ball head, meaning that ARCA-SWISS Monoball can be rotated 360 degrees.

The "flip lock" is a quick-locking device patented by ARCA-SWISS, with adouble safety mechanism to prevent the unintended release of the camera.
