Bring your creativity to life with the new D5600. It features 24.2 effective megapixels, an EXPEED 4 image-processing engine, and an ISO range of 100-25600 that captures beautiful and vibrant imagery, Full HD videos and time-lapse movies even in low light situations. Inspiration also comes easy when you discover new perspectives with the vari-angle LCD monitor and intuitive touch interface. With Bluetooth® and the Nikon SnapBridge app*1for automatic transfer of images to your compatible smart devices*2, the D5600 is perfect for the connected world.
Sharing your moments as they happen without missing a beat is effortless with the D5600. With a one-time setup through the free SnapBridge*1 app, the D5600 wirelessly connects to your compatible smart device*2 via the built-in Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, or NFC*3. The app maintains a constant connection, while automatically syncing still images for seamless online sharing. You can also use your smart device as an external monitor and shoot remotely*4 for instances when you want to be in the picture.
Capture amazingly sharp and tonally-rich images and videos with the D5600’s DX-format CMOS image sensor, designed without an optical low-pass filter to bring out the full resolving power of its 24.2 effective megapixels. Its EXPEED 4 image-processing engine also works to improve overall speed and performance in a variety of shooting situations. In dimly lit environments, the D5600’s wide standard ISO range of 100 to 25600 allows you to achieve crisp and sharp images in which noise is effectively suppressed.
Be it a look, a smile, or a candid expression, the D5600 captures all these emotions in vivid detail with a high-speed continuous shooting rate of approximately 5 frames per second*5. The 39-point autofocus (AF) system covers a wide area of the frame to keep track of your subjects with remarkable precision.
Experiment with novel shooting styles from your very own perspective with the touch screen vari-angle LCD monitor that can swivel up to 180°. For that artistic finishing touch, simply trim, resize, apply filters and special effects right from your screen using the retouch menu.
Enjoy ease-of-use and intuitive control with the D5600’s touch interface. Scroll through images swiftly with the all-new frame advance bar, or easily trim an area of the image by pinching it out. The touch Fn feature lets you make adjustments to a pre-assigned camera setting using your thumb, without looking away from the viewfinder, including auto sensitivity control on/off switching.
Designed for portability, this lightweight camera features an innovative monocoque structure that is strengthened with a carbon-fibre composite material for outstanding durability. With a long-lasting battery life that packs 970 shots per charge*6, this camera is undoubtedly your perfect travel companion.
Imagine how easy it would be to post D-SLR pictures online if they were saved to your smart device as soon as you took them. The SnapBridge application creates a constant connection between the D5600 and a compatible smart device via Bluetooth®, meaning pictures are automatically transferred as you shoot. The image transfer process continues unaffected even when the camera is stored in a bag nearby. It’s also possible to transfer images and movies* via Wi-Fi® by selecting the files in the app.
*Movie transfers are only possible with smart devices that support Wi-Fi.
Take advantage of automatic picture transfers by downloading the SnapBridge app onto your compatible smart device now. The app connects the D5600 with a compatible iPhone®, iPad®, iPod touch® or smart devices running the Android™ operating system, and is available free from the official website (snapbridge.nikon.com), Apple App Store® and Google Play™.

Introducing a new breed of NIKKOR lens, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G. Featuring a stepping motor – a first*1 for NIKKOR lenses – the 18-55mm*2 lens offers smooth, nimble focusing in an incredibly compact size. With its new settings system and lightweight design, even first-time DSLR photographers will find it a breeze to use. Pair it with Nikon’s D3000-series and D5000-series cameras*3 and let its quiet agility take your photography to the next level.
The AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G is one of the first*1 NIKKOR lenses to feature a stepping motor, allowing for better autofocus (AF) handling. With a sound reduction in the AF drive, it lets you shoot with minimal mechanical noises. The stepping motor also offers smoother AF movements, as well as speed boosts in both phase-detection AF and contrast-detection AF.
Designed with 2 aspherical lens elements, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G offers impressive optical performance to capture sharp, spectacular images. The aspherical lens elements also effectively correct lens aberrations and distortions.
At approximately 195g, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G measures a mere 64.5mm (diameter) by 62.5mm (length) when retracted. Its retractable lens mechanism lends itself to a highly portable body that is easy to carry everywhere. A new setting system allows autofocus/manual focus settings to be accessed directly from the camera’s menu*4 for smooth and seamless shooting.
