Flip-down touchscreen

Since the E-PL8's touchscreen flips down rather than up, touch control is made much easier and the flash (when attached) does not obstruct your view of the screen. And the camera's powerful image stabilisation helps minimise any blurring caused by single-handed shooting.

Dedicated Selfie Mode

When the touchscreen isflipped down, the camera automatically switches to Selfie Mode.

Selfie Mode for photos: Photo is taken one second after the shutter button at the bottom of the screen is touched. Touch buttons for e-Portrait, which makes skin look smooth, and brightness control are positioned on the screen.

Olympus 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ Lens Black Details

This lens is the thinnest electronic-pancake zoom lens in the world. The thickness is less than half compared to conventional lenses (22.5mm when powered off). It also boasts high performance that meets the Zuiko quality standard and constructed with 8 elements in 7 groups (3 aspherical lenses, 1 ED lens and 1 super HR lens). This multi-functional compact lens also features electronic zooming which is useful for movie recording.
