With Wide XGA resolution, the VPL-CW125 projector features exceptional image quality, more natural colours, unsurpassed brightness and network capability.

The VPL-CW125 projector delivers exceptional image quality, more natural colours and unsurpassed brightness in any room - even if it has awkward obstructions, thanks to its Side Shot Digital Horizontal Shift feature.

This product comes with PrimeSupport – fast, hassle-free repairs and a helpline offering expert technical advice. Which gives you the peace of mind that Sony is looking after your equipment, and your business.

Widescreen

The VPL-CW125 offers a widescreen format for WXGA resolution (1366 x 800) PC and 16:9 aspect ratio video.

Network Capability

RJ45 network capability lets you send content from your PC through your corporate network to the VPL-CW125.

Side Shot

Digital Horizontal Shift for ceiling mounted applications where off-axes to the screen are not possible for the projector due to building obstruction.

Connectivity

2x RGB (component x1) for flexible connections, Input A for RGB or component and input B for RGB. RS232C port for management and control, component video, S-Video / composite video, audio 2x stereo mini jack. Please note each input / output feature has its own dedicated audio (stereo mini jack feature).

Monitor out

The VPL-CW125 projector can display the image simultaneously on a large screen and on an additional monitor (via a 15-pin D Sub connection), so you can face the audience and still see the information being shown.

Low fan noise

Quiet operation is vital for a compelling presentation. At only 28dB in standard mode, the operating noise of the VPL-CW125 is quieter than a whisper.

Off and go

No cool down time needed, just switch off and pack away! The fan continues to cool after the power supply is removed, so you can unplug the projector immediately after use without damaging the lamp or optics. Other projectors need to remain connected to the power supply to cool the projector after use.

Direct on / off

Ceiling mounted projectors are often accidentally left on after meetings, reducing the lamp life and wasting electricity. The VPL-CW125 can be set to skip the standby mode, so they can be turned on and off directly by a main switch.

PM-J18 remote commander

Full featured Remote Commander with ID Function that allows up to three projectors to be individually managed by one commander.

Password protection

When this function is activated a password is required to use the projector (if the password is lost, Sony is able to retrieve it).

Control panel lock

This switchable function locks the controls on the top and side of the projector, to prevent unauthorised or unintentional use of the controls.

Security bar

The security bar is a visible security feature that deters or prevents petty theft, by making it harder for a thief to remove the projector from its mount or secure location.

Easy maintenance

The new VPL-CW125 is designed with easy maintenance in mind. Both the lamp and filters are easily accessed for replacement and cleaning even when the projector is still in its mounted installation bracket.

It can produce up to 3000 ANSI Lumens of brightness for clear, bright and crisp images every time and in any environment.

Flexible inputs and outputs

You can connect the VPL-CW125 with other AV equipment via features such as audio output, RS232C for control, and a range of inputs including composite video, S-Video and component video (via 15 pin D-sub). You can link the audio output connector to an external speaker system to further enhance the user experience with high quality sound to accompany the images on screen. The VPL-CW125 projector can display the image simultaneously on a large screen and on an additional monitor (via a 15-pin D Sub connection), so you can face the audience and still see the information being shown. RJ45 Network capability allows this model to connect to any LAN network providing the ability to send content from your PC through your network to the VPL-CW125. Applications include data transfer, remote conferencing, point of sale, distance learning / distance sharing (multi-class room projection). RJ45 also allows you to remotely manage and control the VPL-CW125 over your network.

The magic of Sony 3LCD technology

The Sony VPL-CW125 adopts a 3LCD system using three 0.79-inch LCD Panels, also known as high-temperature polysilicon or HTPS. A 3LCD projector uses diachronic mirrors to divide white light emitted from a high-density lamp into three basic colours of Red, Green and Blue. The beams pass through three LCD (HTPS) panels before being reassembled by a prism and projected onto the screen. 3LCD projectors achieve fine-gradation in dark areas while the high light efficiency ensures good focus and vivid colours, even in normal lighting conditions. 3LCD technology avoids the 'rainbow effect' or colour separation to the final image that can affect some other projection technologies, such as DLP. Images produced on a 3LCD system are bright, create more natural colours and are gentler on the eyes.
