The Sony 64GB XQD Memory Card S Series is a high-speed, high-performance flash memory card. Not only does it outpace traditional CompactFlash (CF) cards--even UDMA 7 compliant cards--it improves upon the H Series XQD card with an increased read/write speed of up to 168MB/s. These transfer rates are achieved via the PCIe interface, a computer expansion card standard for serial interfaces. When used with the Nikon D4 DSLR camera, the card is capable of capturing up to 108 frames in continuous RAW shooting. It has a data storage capacity of 64GB for saving your work and your memories.

Using an optional USB 2.0 / 3.0 compatible XQD card reader (MRW-E80) or an XQD ExpressCard adapter (QDA-EX1), both of which are sold separately, you can quickly and easily transfer large amounts of data, such as RAW files, to a PC. A driver for Thunderbolt-enabled devices, available via download as of August 2012, will allow you to transfer files to Mac computer systems, as well. File Rescue Software (ver. 3.2) supports RAW and MOV files captured with the Nikon D4. This, too, will be available for download as of August.
