One would be hard pressed to find a network camera with the wealth of features offered by the Sony SNC-DM160. These include a megapixel ExwavePRO sensor for outstanding image quality, an advanced motion detection system for enhanced security and dual compression options for efficient data management. All of this power is contained inside a rugged enclosure that is also weather resistant and heated, allowing safe camera installation indoors or outdoors as well as in areas at risk for vandalism.

This camera installs readily on the flat surface of a wall or ceiling. An optional bracket (YT-ICB45) is available for in-ceiling mounting applications.

Outstanding Image Quality

A megapixel sensor combined with ExwavePRO technology aid the camera in producing outstanding quality images in both ideal and less than ideal lighting environments. Furthermore, by incorporating complimentary instead of primary color filters, this camera is able to provide excellent color rendition and at the same time maintain a high signal to noise ratio.

Compact & Rugged Body

With its rugged, weather resistant enclosure, this camera can be safely installed indoors or outdoors as well as in areas at risk for vandalism. For increased weather protection, this camera features a built-in heater effective in keeping the camera operational in temperatures as low as -22°F (-30°C). Its compact design also means easy installation in space constricted areas.

Day/Night Function with Light Funnel Mechanism

A Day/Night function auto switches the camera from color to a sensitive B/W mode when light levels fall, thus ensuring optimum image quality 24-hours a day. Additionally, a Light Funnel system combines every two pixels vertically and horizontally, resulting in well illuminated images even when viewing moving objects during dusk or dawn. Light Funnel can be set to activate automatically when required by lighting conditions or at a specified time schedule.

Intelligent Motion Detection (IMD)

Built into the camera is a sophisticated motion detection function that can be used to trigger recording, image transfer or the start-up of an external device. Complex algorithms are employed to minimize the occurrence of false alarms. When used with Sony or third party DEPA enabled recorders or software, motion detection parameters can be fine tuned to include filters such as an object's size and degree of motion.

Intelligent Object Detection (IOD)

Object detection can be seen as a function that is opposite of motion detection. Instead of noticing objects that are moving, object detection is able to pick out something that isn't moving when everything around it is. This is a highly useful feature for detecting abandoned cars left in a parking lot or cars that are stalled or involved in an accident. It can also be used in public transportation hubs to detect suspicious bags or persons that haven't moved in awhile. As with motion detection, object detection parameters can be fine tuned when used with Sony or third party DEPA enabled recorders or software. ¹

Voice Alert

Audio files can be uploaded into the camera's Voice Alert system for playback upon an alarm event or at a specified time.

Analog Video Output

Auxiliary analog BNC and RCA video outputs allow service personnel to make quick camera adjustments while checking the results in real time on a handheld monitor.
